It’s almost a decade since I created the COMMS Planning process in response to the eternal communication question: what’s the best communication planning template. The answer wasn’t a template. It’s a process that ensures that all aspects of the situation are taken into account, that outcomes are clear before jumping into what messages are getting pumped into which channels.

Since then, the COMMS Plan has been integrated into training, into business partnering training, communication skilling for managers and dozens of other organisational settings.
